# Aberration

Open **Creative Settings › Aberration** to control how colors separate as light passes through the glass.

## Mode

Choose **Off** , **Continuous** , or **RGB Split**.

### Off

Disables color separation. Defocus is controlled separately by [F-Stop](https://videovillage.com/learn/mirage/full-guide/interface#f-stop) and [Focus Shift](https://videovillage.com/learn/mirage/full-guide/interface#focus-shift).

### Continuous

Spreads colors across the spectrum. Use Hue Rotation to change the colors in that spread.

### RGB Split

Separates the red, green, and blue channels. Use it for faster but lower fidelity aberration.

## Strength

Increase Strength for more color separation. Reduce it for a more subtle result.

## Hue Rotation

Changes the colors in Continuous mode.

### Related control: Highlight Boost

To change the brightness of filtered highlights, use the separate [Highlight Boost](https://videovillage.com/learn/mirage/full-guide/exposure#highlight-boost) control in Creative Settings.
