# Negative Overview

The Negative module imparts the photometric and spatial characteristics of the film negative. Working with this module can be as simple as choosing a stock, or as granular as modifying parameters of the individual characteristics of the negative.

**Gauge / Negative:** Select a film negative gauge and stock to emulate. Different stock options become available depending on the selected [Film System](https://videovillage.com/learn/filmbox/full-guide/film-systems).
